FILICE, Franco – Born on October 9, 1935 and passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday May 16, 2012. Beloved husband of Adelina Filice (Paonessa). Father of Carmen, Domenic (Adele) and Frank Jr. Cherished Grandpa (Greepa) to Sabrina, Priscilla and Sandro. Loving brother to Egidio (Eleanor), Antonio (Lupita), Anna (Egidio Futino) and Agata (Paul Cuoco). Brother-in-law of Maria Rotella, Guido Paonessa, Marianna and Rosina Paonessa. Predeceased by his loving parents Carmine and Adele and dear mother-in-law Letizia Paonessa. Also predeceased by brothers-in-law Luigi and Angelo Paonessa, Alfonso Rotella and sister-in-law Costantina Paonessa. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Franco was very proud of his Calabrian heritage and was a dedicated employee for 40 years of the Ontario Paper Company.
Franco’s family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME 5917 Main Street, on Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday morning at 11 o’clock at Our Lady of the Scapular Church. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
