It is with extreme heartache that we announce the passing of a wonderful woman, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Valerie Ann Johnstone (Kostecki). Predeceased by her parents, Morris Kostecki and Stella Kostecki. Survived by her devoted husband Robert and her six loving children; Christopher (Cheryl), Gregory (Louisa), Karen, Mark, Rebecca (Gary), and Jeffrey (Allison). She will also be sadly missed by her 9 grandchildren; Jessica, Vanessa, Connor, Carson, Sydney, Zackary, Jacob, Charlotte and Paxton.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr.s Vandermeer, Proctor and Larivee. Nurses; Megan, Karen, Laura, Heather and Scott and Personal Support Workers, Flore and Sherri. Your knowledge, kindness, guidance and support helped all of us through this very difficult time.
Valerie loved all sports, especially hockey, bowling and football. Her favourites being the Leafs, Argos and her bowling buddies "The Odd Gals". No matter what her children and grandchildren participated in you could always hear Valerie cheering with pride in the crowd. She was a truly loving person always putting others before herself. Valerie will forever live in the hearts of all she touched.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00a.m. on Saturday June 25th at St. Patrick’s Church, immediately followed by a celebration of Valerie's life in the church hall.
