Condolence: Dear Melissa, Sean and Simon

I grew up with Tom as my friend, only then he was either Tommy or Butch. I remember the many times he was in hospital or confined to bed after surgery to correct his leg problems. Surgery that we now know was not needed. He never stopped smiling at least not in front of us. His mother, Dee, would set his bed outside in good weather and stop us on the way home from school to remind us firmly that he needed playmates. So we went and of course had fun. Luckily, Tom and I shared a birthday. Tom is gone but i still have his memories, as do you, of his courage and smile in spite of adversity. Please accept my condolences.
