Life Story for Evelyn Anna Bacon

BACON, Evelyn A. - Evelyn Anna Bacon, born in Chippawa on June 21, 1924, died in Chippawa, April 12, 2017. Pre-deceased by parents Milton and Martha Bacon and sister, Florence (John) Hopkins. Survived by her nephews, John (Anne) Hopkins, Mark (Patricia) Hopkins and Peter (Trish) Hopkins, and grand and great nephews and nieces from Canada’s east to west coast. Her working years took her to reside in Washington, South Africa, Quebec, New Brunswick and Toronto. After retiring she returned to Niagara. All her life she enjoyed family and friends, her music, travel, the family cottage in Muskoka, and her Church. She was a true believer in faith, hope, love, and laughter. Evelyn is gone, we have let her go in peace, in faith and in love. Her hope has been realized. Her motto was a line from a favourite song. “If I Can help somebody as I travel on, then my living will not be in vain.”
Visitation will be held at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St. on Saturday April 29, 2017 from 11:00 - 1:00 p.m. followed by a service of remembrance. Her family gives thanks to her wonderful caregivers at Willoughby Manor, The Walker Clinic and CCAC. Donations to your charity of choice would be appreciated.
