Life Story for John Bigus

BIGUS, John - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of John Bigus into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe, at the age of 93. Beloved husband of Ilona “Helen” for 68 years. Loving father of Hilda D’Alessandro (Roberto) and Ernest Bigus (Laurel). Cherished grandfather of Eden (Jamie), Frances (Fredrik) and Paul. Great grandfather of Robert, Alexis, James, Madison, Alessandra and Clara.
John was a supervisor with Canadian Carborundum for over 38 years, retiring in 1985 and he was an active parishioner at St. Thomas More Church.
The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St. on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 2 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Church, 6548 Dorchester Rd. on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Rite of committal to follow at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to St. Thomas More Church.
