Life Story for Peggy Zoretich

Peggy Zoretich
ZORETICH, Peggy – Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Monday March 26, 2018 at the age of 76. Peggy is survived by Peter, her loving husband of 54 years. Loving mother of Michael (Laura), Suzanne Wilson (Mark Dougan) and Jim (Francesca). Beloved grandmother of Zachary, Alexis, Alicia, Madison and Matthew. Dear sister of Jean Baker (the late David) and aunt to Marybeth, Kate, David and Michael. Predeceased by her parents Mary and Audley Rawlin, in-laws Zora and Peter Zoretich and aunts Kay Quinn and Peggy Dillon (the late Deacon Joe). Peggy was born in Troy, NY in 1941, attended Catholic High and graduated from the College of Saint Rose. She lived her life with passion for family and friends and set a great example for others to follow. She was a caring and fun-loving individual who put others before herself. She gave back to her community by managing the Stamford Minor Hockey Concessions, chairing the United Way Poor Boy and the March of Dimes. She was a dedicated teacher at Simcoe Street School and later established her own book keeping and tax business. She was an avid reader, competitive bridge player and travelled to many places in the world. She spent the last 23 years living part time in snow-free Punta Gorda, Florida. She will be missed by many. Our thanks to the staff at GNGH and St. Catharines General for their care and compassion.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of her life will be held in the chapel Thursday at 11 a.m. Private interment at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society or Autism Niagara would be appreciated.
