BETZOLD, Dave – It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Dave at Gilmore Lodge on Monday September 10, 2018 at the age of 83 while surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Bev for 63 years. Loving father of Bonnie (Joe) Schoonings, Greg (Marilyn) Betzold and Susan (Mike) Collee. Caring grandfather of Teresa (Blair), Barbra (Rob), Joe (Amanda), Jeff (Rhonda), Lindz (Jeff), Chantalle (Matt), Tim (Alex) and Jordon. Adored great-grandfather of Tristyn, Ava, Ryan, Lukas, Tyler, Ryan, Hannah, Royce, Hunter and Danika. Dear brother of Rosemarie Simpell. Predeceased by his siblings Linda Fillimchuk, Gloria, Fred and George Betzold. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Dave’s family wish to thank the wonderful staff at Gilmore Lodge and Doctors Henry, Scher and Zufelt. Their loving and compassionate care was sincerely appreciated. Dave’s family is comforted in the knowledge that he is resting in the loving arms of his Lord and Saviour.
The family will receive friends at OUR SAVIOUR LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7081 McLeod Road Niagara Falls on Thursday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service in celebration of his life will be held at the Church on Friday at 10:30 am. Burial to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to Our Saviour Lutheran Church or The Niagara Children’s Centre. Arrangements entrusted to MORSE AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St.
