BILLINGSLEY, Patricia Lynne –
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Pat on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, at the age of 75. Beloved wife of the late Robert Tod Billingsley (1989). Devoted mother of Susan Ferguson (Glenn) of Oakville, ON and Dr. Ian Billingsley of Kelowna, BC. Adored grandmother of Matthew, Caileigh and Andrew. Fondly remembered by many close friends. Predeceased by her dear brother-in-law Donald Billingsley (2006). Patricia was born in Gimli, MB on October 27, 1943 to Angus McAuley and Evelyn (nee Kirkpatrick). She graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences degree from University of Manitoba in 1964 and took a position with the provincial government in Russell, MB where she met Tod. Later following the death of her husband she returned to school to complete a Diploma in Human Resources at Niagara College. In her later years she continued to pursue her involvement in the University Women’s Club, book club, Friendship Force and the activities of Stamford Lane United Church among others and her love of travelling within Canada and abroad. A heartfelt thanks to her loving friends for their support through her illness. Pat and her family are forever grateful to the medical team, especially Dr. H. Qawi and nurse Emily of Walker Family Cancer Centre, as well as Dr. R. Foley and nurse Terri-Lynn at the Juravinski Cancer Centre. The family will receive friends at Stamford Lane United Church, 3855 Peter St., Niagara Falls, on Friday, December 14, 2018 from 10-11 a.m., with the service and reception to follow. Burial in Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada or Stamford Lane United Church, would be appreciated by the family.
