Life Story for John Wayne Watson

John Wayne  Watson
WATSON, John Wayne – Passed away peacefully at home with his loving family at his side on Monday July 29, 2019. Beloved husband of Sandra for 51 years. Loving father of John (Shelley) and Leah. Caring grandfather of Sam, Pete, Imogen, Charlie and Mila. Dear brother of Robin (Anne), Valerie and Diane. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Mary Watson and John (Scotty) Watson. John was a long-time secondary school teacher and principal for Niagara South Board of Education and DSBN. He loved participating in many sports including baseball, hockey, golf and downhill skiing. John enjoyed his summers swimming and boating in Muskoka.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main St., on Thursday from 5 to 8 pm. A funeral service to celebrate the life of John will be held at St. Andrews United Church on Friday at 11 am. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to the Walker Family Cancer Centre or the DSBN Education Foundation.
