Condolence: It is with great sadness that I've just read this evening the news of my old old friend's passing. Was in a bar this evening where Jim and me would go, over here in Scotland, and had this urge to google him and was shocked with what I found. Although we hadn't spoke for many years I still have fond memories of the time we had as boys, then adults we also worked together. marathon events with Jim. Whenever I came across anything to do with Scotland I emailed it to him. Jim’s consecutive running streak of 23 plus years was truly amazing. Jim & Ruth were fixtures at running events all over western New York & southern Ontario shouting out encouragement & directing runners.
I’ll miss him.
