Condolences

Condolence From: John & Heather Snoddy
Condolence: It is with sadness and also with a feeling of very fond memories that Heather and I send a few words of condolences with the passing of Tommy. I met Tommy as being part of a young staff in 1974 teaching at Princess Margaret School. Tom was one of the strong teachers in the school who reached out to provide assistance and guidance with new staff members

Condolence: Dear Gail...As a young teacher starting out in the early seventies I was assigned to Fallsview School. At that time Fallsview had a “rough” reputation and I was worried about going there. But I am here to tell you they were some of the best years in my teaching. Tom was so welcoming and nurturing. He had a wonderful sense of humour. He was strict but fair in his dealings with the students and there was always something going on with them. He and his vice principal had a wonderful rapport and the staff really appreciated working under his direction. I remember sitting in his office one day discussing all the problems at Fallsview and I remember his saying it was all worth it for his wife and family at home. That always stuck with me. It just goes to show no matter the difficulties he encountered you and the family were always at the forefront of his mind. He was a man of class. He was a man of patience. I looked up to him and whenever I ran into him at functions he never changed....just a nice guy. I can count on one hand the number of men that I have admired in my lifetime and Tom was one of them. God bless you and the family....I’m sure your wonderful memories will give you comfort....speak his name often.

Condolence: Dear Gail, you may not remember me, however I met Tom through the Niagara Men's Chorus where I sang for about 8 years. Tom was always so welcoming and such an encourager; as well as a dedicated member and supporter of the chorus. After I left, Tom reached out several times was always happy to see me. I missed him when I retired from the chorus and am sorry that we lost touch. May God bless you with good memories of a special man. I will continue to miss Tom.

Condolence: Dear Gail and family, I'm so sorry that I was not able to get to the visitation for Tom. His smile and charming welcome whenever I saw him will be my remembrance of him. Tom was a pillar in the Niagara South education community and could always be counted on to give wise counsel. Many are thinking of you as you travel this new path in your life. Carolynne

Condolence: Dear Gail and Family

We were sad to hear about Tom’s passing (from cousin Ron). Although we did not see a lot of each other over the years we remember Tom’s smile and warmth most vividly. Our sincere sympathies.

Condolence: Dear Jennifer, Dave, Dan and Mrs. Mousseau, so sorry for your loss! Mr. Mousseau was such a wonderful neighbour and man who has left a wonderful legacy in the hearts of many! I have many great memories of him when I was younger, as he was always working on Summer projects around the house. Take care and praying for you all.

Condolence From: Greg Moon
Condolence: My condolences to the Mousseau family on the passing of this lovely man. Mr. Mousseau was my home room teacher at Princess Margaret Senior Public school in 1967. As a teacher, he rode easy in the saddle. While math was not my favourite subject in school, his classes were always enjoyable. His integrity was omnipresent in the classroom. You always knew that he would be fair, and had the genuine interest in his pupils at heart, both as students and as developing persons. I remember that he even joined us for some 4am pick up hockey at the Stamford arena! How could you not love a guy like that?

Condolence From: Mike Jenken
Condolence: I had the very good fortune to have Mr. Mousseau as my grade 7 math and home room teacher at Princess Margaret Senior Elementary School in 1967. His infectious optimism, good humour, respect, scholarship and humanity had a profound impact on my emerging sense of self. When I decided to enter education as a career, Mr. Mousseau was the teacher and man I wanted to be like. He shaped so many of us and made those hormonal years at PM bearable and manageable. Often he was the only bright moment in our dread filled days and made moving forward possible. Truly one of the finest educators and men I was lucky enough to encounter on my journey. Thank you for sharing him with us.
