2011-10-05 - Niagara Falls, Ontario, October 4, 2011 – The Ontario Funeral Service Association (OFSA) wishes to announce that Ernie Morgan CFSP, a third-generation funeral director of Niagara Falls has recently been elected President of the OFSA Board of Management. Ernie has been active in funeral service for 33 years and is noted by his peers as having served the communities of Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the Lake. Ernie is the owner of both Morse & Son Funeral Home, Niagara Falls and the Morgan Funeral Home, Niagara-on-the Lake, family owned businesses, and is proud to work with professional colleagues who genuinely care for people. Not only active in his profession, in the community he currently serves on the Board of the Niagara Falls Chamber of Commerce, is a longtime member and past-president of the Niagara Falls Rotary Club, a member of Lundy’s Lane United Church, and a former volunteer for the United Way. The Ontario Funeral Service Association is a volunteer organization formed in 1883. It was originally called the Embalmers Association and in 1922, the Association was incorporated as the Ontario Funeral Service Association. OFSA is the largest association representing Independent Funeral Homes across Ontario and strives to increase public awareness of the funeral profession while providing members with legislative advocacy and resources. OFSA continues, along with its 500 plus members to maintain a high standard of service that is continuously offered to the families of Ontario.

2011-05-09 - The landmark Morse & Son clock was reinstalled in its updated location on this date. The clock had been 'missing in action' for 6 weeks during the road and landscape reconstruction of the historic Main & Ferry area. When completed, the clock will sit between 2 Gingo trees and have a bed of annual flowers surrounding its base each year.
 
2011-05-09 - At its commemorative launch today, the Daval Hospice presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Morse & Son Funeral Home for their support and belief in the Vision of Daval Hospice. The volunteer committee established to spearhead the creation of a hospice in Niagara Falls and has been using the Morse & Son Family Care Centre for many of its organizational meetings to date.
