Every single day brings with it the potential to experience both the joys and the sorrows of life.
Today you, or a family member, may find yourself in a place of wondering how to navigate through life without your spouse, partner, sibling, child or friend by your side.
There will be days when you just want to pull the covers over your heads and stay in bed, but also days where you may want to embrace the warmth of the sunshine. There will be good days and not so good days. We all have days like that, especially when experiencing the death of someone in our circle of family or friends. In fact, it can feel like a bit of a roller coaster ride as the days turn into weeks and your mind, body and soul begins to grasp the full impact of your loved ones death.
Often after the first few weeks, the whirlwind of activities, paperwork, phone calls and visits start to taper down. Perhaps you may find yourself wondering about returning to a job, a social life, a hobby or trying something new. Perhaps you may find yourself feeling a bit “stuck”, wondering if what you are experiencing is normal. Remember to be gentle with yourself and know that every single person grieves and will heal in different ways and at different times.
Whether you are having a great day or a not so great day, week or month; please know that at Morse and Sons Funeral Home, there is a place you can go to share your thoughts and experiences in a safe, caring and confidential environment. Feel free to give me a call or send along an email with any questions or concerns, or simply to have a chat. Whether you are having a good day or a not so great day – that’s ok!
