Life Story for F. Claire (Warren) Davidson

DAVIDSON, F. Claire (Warren) – Peacefully surrounded by her family, on Monday June 12, 2017, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, in her 93rd year. Wife of the late Albert “Scottie” Davidson (1968). Beloved mother of John (Gloria) and Robin (Laurie), all of Niagara Falls, Dear grandmother of Brooke (Jeremy Pimentel), Angela, Elizabeth “Beth” (Jeffery Duc) and Kelly (Zachary Dykstra). Great-gramma Claire of Abigail and Michael. Also survived by sisters-in-law Ella Warren and Franca Davidson, brother-in-law Bill (Gladys) Davidson, and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers Ben and Jack Warren, and by her long-time companion, Jim “Jiggs” McMurtrie. A lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, Claire retired from No Frills (and Loblaws) after 28 years. She was an active member of Ladies Auxiliary of Br. 51 of the R.C.L for 33 years, a member of the Br. 51 Cribbage team, past-secretary of the First Niagara Scout Group, and a member of St. Davids-Queenston United Church.
Cremation has taken place. The Davidson family will receive friends at the MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, from 2-4 and 7-9 on Thursday. A service to celebrate her life will be held at the funeral home on Friday morning at 11 o’clock, followed by interment of the cremated remains at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery. Claire’s family would suggest for those wishing, to make a memorial donation to either St. Davids-Queenston United Church or to the First Niagara Scout Group.
