Life Story for Teresa Scalzo (Garofalo)

SCALZO, Teresa - Passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday August 2nd at the age of 68. Beloved Wife of Antonio Scalzo for 43 years. Loving Mom of Nina (Stephen), Pat & Luca. Cherished Nanna of Ben Stewart. Dear Sister of Frank (Mary) Garofalo & Nat (Helen) Garofalo. Sister-in-law to Maria (Jasper) Colosimo. Will also be missed by her dear Cousin Mario Garofalo. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Predeceased by her parents Emilio & Francesca Garofalo and her In-laws Pasquale & Nicolina Scalzo. Teresa always loved having her family together. She cherished the time she had with each one, and enjoyed watching her Grandson Ben grow up. Many will remember her for her many years of owning and operating T&T Drycleaners with her husband Tony. A special thank you to Hospice Niagara for all of your love, care and support for Teresa.
The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St. on Friday August 4th from 2-4pm & 6-9pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday August 5th at 11am at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church. Rite of committal to follow with entombment at Fairview Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers the family asks that those who wish can make a donation to Hospice Niagara in Teresa’s honour.
