DIMOND, Donald Keith - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Donald on Monday, December 4th, 2017 at Maple Park Lodge, at the age of 87 years. In 1953, Don married Elaine (Hutchings) Dimond and together had three boys. Loving husband to Elaine for 64 years and loving father to Scott & Julie (Krahulik) Dimond, Donald “Kevin” Dimond and Darryl & Lynn (Brunner) Dimond. Proud grandfather to grandsons Cameron, Dennis & Eric and granddaughters Nicole & Jamie. Don worked at Acres International for 40 years, during which time he was involved in many international engineering projects which required spending time at far away job sites including Kathmandu (Nepal), Jakarta (Indonesia), San Paulo (Brazil), Tehran (Iran) and Topi (Pakistan). In 1971, Don & Elaine built a cottage near Barry’s Bay Ontario where the family spent many wonderful decades together, water skiing in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter. Very special thanks to the staff of Maple Park Lodge for their exceptional care in Don’s final months.
Cremation has taken place and family will receive friends at Morse & Son, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls on Saturday, December 9th from 2 to 5pm.
