GAZLEY, Jim - On September 2, 2018 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital in his 80th year. Loving husband of Sharon (nee Donohue) for 56 years. Cherished father of Mark (Colette) and grandchildren Alex, Megan and Connor, and cherished father of Scott (Marie) and grandchildren Brad and Brandon. Dear brother of the late Frank Burley, Vicky Reeb, (Doug), Ted Gazley (Shirley) and Judy MacKinnon (Terry). Great grandfather of Bella, Dallas, Missy, Brooklyn, Kingston and London. He will be missed by brother and sister-in-law, John and Sheila Turcotte. Survived by many nieces and nephews. He was a friend of Bill W. Jim worked for Washington Mills for 46 years. He was the President of SOAR, Chairman of the charity golf tournament and enjoyed golfing and vacationing over the years with friends in Florida. He was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 479, helping with the fish fry on Friday nights.
Jim’s family will receive friends at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street on Thursday, September 6th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A celebration of his life will be held at Stamford Lane United Church on Friday morning, September 7th at 11 o’clock. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Stamford Lane United Church, Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a charity of choice.
